The Grout Sealer Videos are about maintaining grout that is typically found in bathrooms, kitchens, floors, ceramic tile, and stone. The biggest complaint usually has to do with how to maintain and keep grout clean. Grout gets dirty simply because it has a really porous surface. When you examine it close up it appears like a sponge. There are plenty of openings to trap dirt, scum, soap, and mold. Over time mildew builds up and feeds on the trapped debris. Most cleaning products can’t get to the trapped debris. The number one question is how do you prevent this from happening? You need to seal the grout.

What are the basic steps involved with sealing grout?

1. Clean the grout before you get started.

2. Get some clear grout sealer. This typcially comes in a tube with an application brush.

3. Apply the grout sealer and let dry for 10 minutes. After a total drying time of 3 hours it is safe to use the newly sealed area.

4. After each use of the shower, floor, or kitchen tile besure to remove any excess water. If you are trying to prevent mildew in the bathroom leave your shower door open to allow for more ventilation.
