Great winter Gloves March 5, 2010

These Gloves are all wearn down but they lasted constuction work in winter Hell. Just make sure u dont get them wet they dry quick but when its cold your hands are better with them off. just throw them in the dryer and they are ready to go.

I work in 30 degrees and most of the time my hands remain warm. The only thing is if I stop working my hands will start to get cold. They are NOT GOOD for wet conditions!!! even smi wet conditions along with the cold its not a good sight.... but other than that they hold up to the punishment that i give them every day.

Warning these gloves do not keep you warm. My hands and fingers go numb while wearing these gloves. Barely holds up in 40 degree weather, below that your fingers are done.

I agree totally. These gloves ABSORB water like a magic chamois. If it is 30deg out and the sun is beating on something that melts some frost or a little snow and you accidentally touch it, poof, glove absorbs water and starts to deep chill your hand. These do not dry overnight in the house either. Another complaint is they make you sweat badly. It is like water can easily get in but sweat is not allowed to go the other way. Other than that these are decent gloves. I have owned a dozen different ironclad gloves over the years and they are slowly showing me that I am in idiot for overspending time after time on their high performance gloves. My old-timer boss just laughs when I show him my latest $30 work gloves I am afraid to use.
UPDATE: I used these gloves on a 25 degree, dry day chainsawing trees wrapped in multi-flora (wild roses that grow insanely fast). They worked great protecting me from thorn pokes and keeping my hands comfortable. One extra star is given back to these guys.

Not Warm, Not Waterproof, XXL too Small December 2, 2009

Very disappointed. I do a lot of outside work in the winter and thought these would be just the thing. The palm and fingers are rugged which is good but the gloves are not very warm and get wet easily. Additionally I thought XXL would be big enough but it is a real stretch to get these on.
