3 out of 5 stars shovel   January 6, 2009

If there was some type of handle midway down so you could lift the shovel when needed it would work much better.

4 out of 5 stars Great Shovel   December 26, 2008

This is a great shovel. The handle is very strong and makes pushing snow off the drive way very easily. I live in upstate NY and have already used this shovel 5 times as this is gonna be a snowy winter. I think i might pick up another one of these to have as a backup.

4 out of 5 stars Snow Pusher   December 22, 2008
R. Hency (Colorado Springs)
So far this shovel works great! I have used it twice with the biggest snow level between 3 to 4 inches. My only regret is that the shovel is straight on and not angled like the picture shows. I had an angled one like a snow plow and liked it so much I wore it down to the handle. Unfortunately, the maker of that one went out of business. Anyway, I will get another one of these when it starts to wear down.

5 out of 5 stars Works better than expected   December 19, 2008

I am a Head Custodian at a elementary school and am responsible for keeping the sidewalks clean, and we have a lot of them. I have tried many different shovels and have never found one that works better for what I need than this. Two inches of snow or less are my problem and this pusher works great. I have a large snow blower for the heavier snow. If the shipping wasn't so expensive I would buy one for home and my supervisor would buy one for each of our nine schools. I did modify the one I have buy putting on a metal edge so that it will last. It comes with no edge, made of plastic, and will ware down to nothing with a lot of use.

5 out of 5 stars A great tool if you have a large area to clear   April 11, 2008

I have an extremely long and steep driveway -- so steep that the plow attachment on my lawn tractor is useless (once I plow down the driveway, I can't get the tractor back up, since the tractor plow leaves a thin layer of snow, which the tractor can't overcome even with wheel weights and chains). So two seasons ago I bought one of these, and found that I could clear the driveway more quickly and effectively than with my tractor! It worked so well for the past two years that I decided to buy a second one. Next season my wife will be able to help and the job will go even faster.
Not everyone likes plastic blades, but I prefer them. I find that metal blades "catch" on my driveway as I shovel/plow, while plastic does the job much more smoothly, and clears the snow better. It's true that plastic does wear down (and a lot of people might object to that), but I have found that after two seasons of nearly daily use (we get about 1/4"-1/2" almost EVERY NIGHT from January through early March where I live -- just enough to make the driveway too slippery to drive on without going into the ditch on either side), the blade on the first one I bought is only slightly worn, and is still quite serviceable. I'm guessing that it has another two seasons in it at least, if not more. All in all, I have been extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to anyone.
